Two years ago, Bahá’ís across the world celebrated the two hundredth anniversary of the Prophet-Founder of our faith, Bahá’u’lláh. Today, we prepare to celebrate the two hundredth birthday of the Herald of the Blessed Beauty, the Báb, who foretold the coming of Bahá’u’lláh and His Promise to fulfill the prophesies of all the faiths.

The Báb (from the Persian, “the Gate”) was born Siyyid ‘Alí-Muhammad in 1819, and founded the BábíFaith as a precursor to the Baha’i Faith in 1844. His Promise was that a subsequent Prophet, He Whom God Shall Make Manifest, would arrive shortly after him to begin the process of uniting the entire human race in peace and love. Despite His tragic martyrdom in 1850 at the hands of a Persian firing squad, and the near-extermination of the entire BábíFaith, His Promise came true in the form of Bahá’u’lláh, His most devoted adherent.

We, the Bahá’ís of Pasadena, will be hosting our own celebration of this blessed occasion on October 27 at the Western Justice Center.
As a prelude to the festivities, and in the spirit of love, service, and knowledge so central to our Faith, we will also be hosting a special presentation with Mr. Fariborz Sahba, the architect of the Bahá’íGardens in Haifa, Israel, and the Lotus Temple in Delhi, India. It will be a day-long presentation on Saturday, September 28 at 9:30AM, with details provided in the flyer. Friends from all communities are welcome. This is a unique opportunity to hear the untold stories behind the construction of these magnificent monuments, built in the spirit of human unity. Please join us in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

This is only one of many programs being hosted by the Bahá’ís of Pasadena for this wonderful time. We very much hope to see you there, as this is a spiritually powerful time which we are blessed to be around for and will not recur in our lifetimes.

An RSVP is greatly appreciated to ensure that everyone is fully accommodated. Thank you.
